Client Write-up Download (DOS version)

The file is 672k. It includes most of the options. You are limited to using DEMO
client. You can Post entries, add/change account numbers, employees, and print reports.

To install:
1) Download OASDEMO.EXE (Click the icon) Start DEMO Download
  
zip file for those not using Win 9x

 2) Double click oasdemo.exe, (from where you saved it on your hard drive
    using START>RUN or windows explorer)
    then click Start. -- this will put the setup files in the
    C:\oasys folder (unless you change the folder name).
    
 3) run SETUP.EXE using the Start/Run (C:\oasys\setup.exe) or Windows
    Explorer (double click setup.exe that should be in the oasys folder.)
    This will put an icon on the desktop as described below.

 4) (you may have to restart the computer to see the desktop icon).
    Double click the desktop icon for client writeup OR
    Type WUMENU1 from the DOS Prompt in the folder containing the
    program OR setup a shortcut in windows. (if you changed the
    folder from C:\oasys)

    If you use the default folder (directory) of "oasys", the shortcut
    will be put on your desktop (Win3.1 and Win9x). You can also run
    writeup.bat that will be in the root directory by exiting to MS-DOS
    and typing: CD\<ENTER> then "writeup" or clicking on writeup.bat
    through windows explorer.(See Note Below)
    If you do not get a shortcut on the desktop, you can always make one.

Command name:
drv:\path\WUMENU1.EXE
(where drv is disk drive code - typically C), path is the subdirectory containing the pogram (default on installation is OASYS)
Working directory is the same as the path (for example C:\OASYS)
and check the Close on exit box.
NOTE: Windows 9x users: If the Demo runs but will not print any reports, try the following: 1) In control panel, printers: delete the current printer. 2) Select Add new printer. 3) Set up as the type of printer you have. 4) Select Local. 5) Answer the question "Print Dos Applications", YES 6) Click Capture then the applicable printer port (Usually LPT1). 7) Click Finish. Windows 9x defaults to "Print Dos Applications = NO" Be sure to select this "new" printer as the default. If you still have problems printing, we have a windows program that will print the reports.
